DrumDrops Yamaha Hybrid Kit KONTAKT- SYNTHiC4TE

This Yamaha hybrid kit is a great sounding all round multi-sampled kit.

The kit is owned by producer Ben Hillier (Depeche Mode, Nadine Shah, Graham Coxon) and resides in Miloco's Pool Studio in London. The kit has been used by loads of artists and can be heard on many hit records. The drums used to make up this kit have come from a combination of Yamaha kits and together provide a great sounding kit. Before we began sampling up the kit our drum tech Martin Oldham came in, changed the heads to Pre international Remo Coated Ambassador heads and got the kit sounding great.

The kit was recorded at The Pool. This is a relatively new studio in London but has recorded many hit records for the likes of Graham Coxon, Florence & The Machine and Mumford & Sons amongst others. The engineer was inhouse Drumdrops engineer Ben Thackeray and Adam Falkner (Babyshambles, Ed Harcourt) was on drumming duty. The kit works well at different tuning pitches, but its big size and its Lugwig 402 snare makes it suitable for deeper rock orientated tracks or ballads or even pop tracks . It is a great sounding kit that can be used to cover many genres. Especially if it costs you nothing !

The Kontakt 5 Pack comes with the Drumdrops Kontakt Interface for exclusive use in Native Instruments Kontakt version 5. The interface comes with it's own mixer section giving you control over the individual drum tracks and convolution reverbs that we have included. Each channel has an EQ and Transient Master. You can change the velocity curves of the drums and there is a randomisation feature to add subtle changes to make the drums even more realistic.The Kontakt pack comes with 41 separate articulations, 16 velocity steps and includes multiple round robins totalling over 5000 drum samples.
