The SICK Volume I library is Soundiron's way of celebrating the dark of night. This compact little horror library features a variety of nightmarish creature, demon, zombie and spirit voices, along with gore smashing impacts, ripping flesh, splattering guts and oozing viscera. Ideal for horror and combat sound design when used raw or for darker experimental music when used in Kontakt, this library was designed for Halloween, but works as a handy little creative toolbox any time of year.

The library includes 8 different categories of horror to choose from. There's agony, blunt force, brand, choke, madness, nightmares, purgatory and scream. Each of the first seven categories feature a regular patch and a special patch with speed control attached to the pitch-wheel for real-time sample playback speed adjustment. The final category, Scream, features morphable layers of tuned ambience. Both of the scream patches include a preloaded convolution reverb effect with a custom impulse response.

You’ll notice that all patches in this library include automatable custom front panel performance controls including Attack, Swell, Morph, Release, Offset, Stepping, Key Switch On/Off toggle button. Not all controls are featured in all patches.

The SICK Volume II library, designed with Halloween in mind, is a one stop shop for eerie and disturbing paranormal sound-design, including subterranean clanks, booms, thuds, cracks, drags, stomps, steps, creaks and thumps in the darkness; demonic creature howls, moans, breaths and growls; hellish and twisted soundscapes, pads, drones and ambiences; and a variety of terrifyingly vivid EVP recordings (some of them quite real).

To capture the raw materials for this sonic descent, We explored the bowels of an abandoned Civil War/World War I-era naval artillery bunker (mind you, not the same bunker that we visited in Rust II - I guess you could say we love us some abandoned bunkers.) and a World War II/Cold War-era decommissioned warship. All in all, you get over 200 Grade-A production-quality horror sound effects and sound beds for about the price of a pound of raw hamburger. Delicious!

We’ve included some awesome control features and built-in effects to let you shape every aspect of the sound in real-time within Kontakt, or you can simply grab the wavs and mash them up however you like. The Sick Volume III library is a deep sound and music design collection featuring 175 professional dark/suspense/horror environments, soundscapes, hellscapes and nightmare worlds, with well over 4 GB of premium sample content. We've hand-crafted horrific demonic creatures, feverish states of sonic delirium, monstrously shambling slavering hordes and discordant fever dreams. We traveled to the edge of a hurricane and wandered the endless halls of decrepit, vermin infested industrial, military and institutional ruins to capture authentic, production grade field ambiences that truly live and breathe.

Sick 3 also includes a massive collection of 335 live stereo convolution reverb impulse response files that we've captured in a wide range of remote horror-friendly environments, including bunkers, prisons, waterfronts, graveyards, forests, chambers, warehouses, sewers and more. We've focused this library of impulses on environments that tend toward the darker and more foreboding, from the vast hopelessness of a derelict prison hall to a terrifyingly claustrophobic earthen grave. Recorded at a variety of capture distances, angles and degrees of occlusion, they provide realistic coloration and spatialization when placing additional instruments, sound design and foley into a mix, whether you're working with any of the Sick 3 ambiences or using the impulses to augment other source material in music, film, television, video game or multimedia production. This array of acoustically accurate impulse responses are provided as standard stereo pcm waves that are compatible with any convolution effect, host, virtual instrument or utility that supports wav impulse import.

The library is programmed for Native Instruments Kontakt 4.2.4 and later, with a fully-equipped custom user interface that provides real-time automation control over note attack, sample start position offset, intensity swelling, release fade time, tuning and dual sonic layer blending. There is also an integrated EQ, convolution reverb selector and control module and an optional simulated 3-part harmonic polyphonic legato tool that allows you to smoothly tie one pitch to the next. All of the samples are also included as categorized and clearly named stereo wave files that can be imported and used in any wav-format compatible audio environment, sampler, editor, sequencer or other audio software you like.

The Sick Volume IV library delves into the sound of macabre body mutilation and tardigrade torture. It painstakingly explores 35 unique deep sampled (12x RR) percussion articulations as well as over 1,000 horror sound effects. Weighing in at over 2 GB of premium sound design content, Sick 4 is ideal for both music and sound production: designed with horror in mind yet flexible and diverse enough to fit into any mix that calls for something a little off the beaten path.

To build this library, we gathered an army of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes and set about destroying them in a most brutal manner, with the help of hammers, crowbars, saws, drills, wrenches and our own meaty fists and heavy boots. We also pried a range of proto-musical elements from steel pails, swinging chains, dragging cinderblocks. Our goal was to craft a well-rounded and highly detailed horror foley collection suitable for the most discerning sound designer or scoring composer. But going beyond simple sound effects creation, we also brought out our drum sticks, fingers and mallets to create the most nuanced and playable pumpkin percussion library ever conceived. Finally, we included over 50 custom horror ambiences and soundscapes created from the source material and cutting edge control features, rack FX and otherworldy convolutions to complete the picture.

Sick Volume V explores melodic and exotic tuned plucked strings and mallets, unique winds and musical effects designed for sci-fi, horror and mystery genres. It also includes an extensive collection of evolving tonal ambient pads, atmospheric soundscapes, harmonic clouds and menacing drones. It’s also perfect if you just want fresh, unique musical sounds with an unconventional character and organic playability.

It features 5 acoustic instrument sets, recorded in a bright chamber with adjustable close and far mic positions. The "Astral Dirge Pipe" is a custom contraptions sonically resembling a multi-key tuned didgeridoo. We recorded chromatic sustains, staccatos and effects. The "Channeling Tube" is a classic spring-powered “Thunder Tube”, played both percussively and semi-chromatically by plucking the string at differing lengths. The Conjuring Bell is a beautifully melodious pair of chimes with a sound hole at the base to allow the thumb to create “wah-wah” effects as they ring. The "Spectral Moaner" is a droning wind instrument swung in an overhead arc to produce a harmonic series as speed increases. The "Demon String" is an acoustic guitar outfitted with a Vo-96 guitar synthesizer that produce infinitely self-sustaining richly harmonic organ-like drones. We recorded a full range of string plucks, plus major, minor and octave chord types. Finally, we've designed 60 mystery, sci-fi and horror ambiences and soundscapes. Every preset includes cutting edge control features, rack FX and otherworldy convolutions to allow you plenty of creative control.
